Had my ibiza serviced last week, been running fine and smooth till today. When i turn corners, it seems something on the front left side is clanking/ banging? it goes no matter what way i turn left/ right but feels like its happening on the left side. ive looked all around it as much as i could and cant see anything.

any ideas?

nope! it was £10 plus fitting! u can check too see if its that by giving it a shake! if its gt loads of free play it would most likly be that i would guess. sure some1 else will say if thats right.

dont no if its the same sort of noise but my wheel bearings had come loose so there was play in the wheel, and that use to make noise when i turned but that wasnt load and was a sort of creaking noise, might be worth checking them though?

best thing to do is too jack the car up gab hold of the wheel at either side and try to move it backwards and forwards, there shouldnt be any play or movement in it, if there is then its probably your bearings, which is the problem i had,i just had to tighten the hub nut up which is the nut in the centre of the wheel, if its tight and there is still play then i would imagine that you need new bearings. im no expert but thats what i no from my experience. it could be something completly different

and.. if its the drop link bar, if you grab the bar and try and move it, i don't think it should move atall and if it does i would guess it would be that. it's got ball joints at the top and its normally them that go i think.

sorry? You've paid £98 to have a £10 ball joint fitted?

did they provide the lube & gimp ball?
