LED Sidelight Question

Hi guys,

Just bought these from eBay:

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-ERROR-FR...XENON-HID-WHITE-SIDE-LIGHT-BULB-/290616312072

And they're pretty good. Nice and cheap and give out a nice white light. My only worry is are they capable of burning the headlight housing? As if they're anything like my led number plate bulbs they can get quite hot! In other words are they safe to use as sidelights?

I might be asking a stupid question here and making myself look like a right idiot but I'd rather run that risk rather than destroying my headlights! All input is appreciated. Thanks.

I've been using the same leds as side lights for over 12 months without any heat issues. However I get a dash error on start up which is rectified by turning the side lights on.

Yeah, I've got those in mine without issue for 18 months, except an occasional error which clears if I turn my lights on and off again.
