LED Conversion Bulbs - 2018

I am looking at a new car and wondering how LED conversion bulbs would work in a 2018 SEAT Ibiza FR.

I have heard rumour that the newer SEAT models will basically refuse to turn the bulb on due to there being no return from a halogen filament.

Has anyone had success with a 2018 onward halogen to LED conversion, i.e no flashing, no warning light, turning on okay etc

2018 Ibiza FR had full LED headlights as standard. And very nice they are too.
