A week after having it's 60k service I noticed a high pitched whine when accelerating out of a roundabout. This noise has gotten progressively louder in the last few weeks so I've had it checked out by a couple of 'stealers' over the last couple of weeks.
The first one just revved the nuts of it for about 15 mins and 3 'techs' just stood there scratching their heads.[:@]
The second wasted a whole day for me by having the motor in their workshop ALL day just to call me at 4.30 to say they wanted to have it back for 3 days to strip and check the turbo as their think it's a leaking.
Wouldn't they be able to check if the turbo is leaking - i.e. low boost pressure - using VAG.com

To be honest unless the cars under warranty I wouldnt bother taking it to a seat dealership as they dont have a clue. Take it to a skoda dealership they seem alot more efficient. Or just get someone with vag com to do some logs.

yes they sound like a bunch of idiots nomad. They can check boost pressure via vag com, and log it. Revving the nuts off it and standing around (i presume they were revving it not moving and out of gear) does nothing either as theres no load so the turbo isnt working.

Yup exactly right sssstew !!! The first lot are a VW/Audi/SEAT dealership but I don't really think they're interested in the SEAT side of things and would rather concentrate on the VWs and Audis !! :(

The certain local Bucks dealership :w4nk: that I went to just looked at me like I was talking double dutch when I asked if they'd run any logs.

I've got VAG com on my laptop but no cable (not to self: MUST buy a cable :D ) so couldn't do it myself!! :(

Any hoo... it's booked in with Camberley SEAT next Tuesday as I'm off back down to the smoke to work !! Fecking typical though... it stopped making the noise last night and again this morning !![:@]
