Had my car serviced in june and since then oil has been leaking on a daily basis from where the oil filter sits. Had it bacl to dealer 3 times now and they still cant stop oil from coming out. I think htey might just be removing the cap cleaning it and putting it back on instead of putting a new seal on. Has anyone else got this problem? Car was fine up until first service and its just started doing it since dealer got hands on it.

is it a metal oil filter or the paper type with a black plastic screw on lid , if its the plastic one id just buy a oil filter from euro carparts and replace the seal , possibly check for a crossed thread also , only 3 quid or so

its the one with the black plastic top. Im not being pedantic but why the hell should i have to buy one and do it myself when ive payed the dealer to do it for me. sorry stoney not getting at you but dealer prices are already to high and you expect them to at least do something right. they didnt even tighten the sump plug properly either.
