Leaking LCR

LCR12npt

My LCR is leaking water into the drivers footwell quite badly in heavy rain. Wondering if anybody has had a similar problem and could offer up any potential causes. Are there any seals that are prone to coming loose or drainage pipes that may have fallen off??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Good morning :)

Without wishing to drag up the golden oldies, this is well documented on Leon and Toledo and is easily found using the search button - if the car is under warranty this is something the dealer will sort out for you.

Cheers,

Patrick

My leon had the same problem.

Water was dripping down around the pedals, turns out it was a seam in the vertical bulkhead (not where the loom enters) that was not sealed properly.
The seam is just below the bottom of the windscreen at the very right.
I had to strip down the fusebox and lower part of the dash to trace where the water was getting in. If you strip the right side part of the dash/fusebox area you can see better.

Thanks,
Neil.

i used a great guide off here last week to repair my drivers side door. used butyl rubber sealant in a tube to repair the seal as opposed to replacing it. the leak seems to have been fixed, no more water gushing out every time i open the door! (and its been chucking it down) the only problem i have now is drying out the floor in such cold/wet conditions - i think that could take a while!

I have sealed my drivers door, I have noticed that the previous owner has odone the job before. I used sealants at the moment as the weather was so bad I was getting soaked, I'll use the butyl stuff when it's dry. I really need a picture of the leak from the bulkhead. Just in case this is my issue, I'm not sure if my door is sorted now

I found mine. The grommet that sits on the body work that covers the bonnet catch release cable is worn and s falling apart looks like I need a new grommet. How heard it is to replace I have no idea ?
