Any one in Northern Ireland interested in doing my doors seals on the Toledo and also on the wife's Leon for a few quid??

The Leon has a particularly soggy carpet so help with getting it dried out needed too?

Failing any offers of assistance any idea how much the stealers charge for this?

did u try sealing the pollen filter? that fixed my leaking problem which i thought was door seals

nope, its almost definitely the door seals as I get greeted by a splash of water when I open the doors.

I've had the pollen filter headache before and sorted it ok but the door seals and ripping up the carpets seems like a lot of work !!

Did you ever get these sorted out? My 01 leon has been doing the same, and i think it's time to sort it out.

I've got water sitting at the bottom of the doors (both on drivers side) when you open them, and when it rains really hard, it leaks into the footwells. It looks to me like the seal on the car (that the top of the door presses against) is leaking.

Looking at the "Cross sectional diagram of door and seals." here: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44216&highlight=door+seal+repair
It is sitting betweek the two green seals, and when it builds up it seems to get past the top seal!

Can anyone see a problem with just cutting a drain hole through the lower seal?

I've got the same problem on my 01 LC but only happening on the nearside front door..... the car is under warranty and going in for a service next weekend..... should they (dealer) be able to sort it out under warranty?:)

out there over the edge vw tech
leaky seal

got this on my tolly it looks like its the seal thats fitted to the door at the bottom
i cleaned the seal thats fitted to the car and the paint at the bottom of the door and that lessen'd the problem
but if you look at the seal on the door you will see that it covers the door drain holes the seal has cut outs for the water to run throught but as mine there blocked with a slimey gunge so the water fills up in the door then runs out through the door trim panel above the car seal in to the car
i think if you give the seals a good clean the problem will stop as the water will be able to run away as it was designed to:think:

i've given me a clean out and as you say it does help but it doesn't fix the problem
