Me and a bud are planning to take our FR's to this years race. Just after some info really from previous ''Le Maners''

1) Time wise i'm struggling to do more than travel Friday and head back Monday, will that be an issue as long as we have camping booked etc

2) In ''Normal'' driving mode how long from Calais to Le Man ?

Cheers all

its ok, but can feel like a bit of whistle stop tour.

Our lot go on the wednesday and come back on the Monday, nice and relaxed that way,

Oh and you best get booking as space is going rather rapid.

You'll definitely enjoy it much more if you can get there earlier, preferably Wednesday to soak up the atmosphere. Then you can sample night qualifying, the driver's parade, the open pits on Friday, or any number of other things.

Watch your speed on the way down, they have radar traps all over the place and will gladly confiscate your motor if you have nobody else aboard to drive, see Lewis Hamilton for details!

Unless you get them from eBay, you'll struggle to get camping passes for any of the decent campsites now. Don't worry about admission tickets, you can get them on the gate if necessary. Pit-straight grandstand seats are worth considering as well, not that you'll want to sit there for 24 hours but you'll have a 'base' and a good view of the pitlane buildup. And the Hawaiian Tropic girls ;)
