LCR's hard to get hold of, or the usual dealer / sales BS?

I had a letter the other day from a local main dealer, basically saying they've had 'numerous' potential buyers leave contact details with them, desperate to get hold of an LCR.

As the owner of an LCR, they're wanting offer a 'fantastic' part exchange deal, knowing they will already have a buyer for my car. Apparently, they can't get enough of them!

They're trying to encourage me to test drive the new Cupra, offering 'preferential rates' on finance etc. etc.

I love my LCR and I'm not even considering parting with it any time soon!

Are LCR's really that hard to get hold of? There are loads on fleabay...

Also, what's with the second hand value of them??? I paid about £16.8k for mine brand new... This one at Hobins Seat is just under £16k, over a year old with nearly 14k miles!! Is it really worth that much?!

I mean, every other car I've had from new has lost several thousand in the first year... surely it would have lost more than £800???

Not that I'm complaining, of course ;)

Yes, they're trying to get you in the door

No they're not hard to get hold of

No, it's not lost £800 - the dealer is probably slapping £3k on top of what it cost them

But I think you knew all that :D

you are a case of what is know as Mini syndrome.

Your car looks so good and is so perfect that everyone wants one. Unfortunatly they make very few (in this case 0) of them new. and IMO the new one looks god aweful(just my opinions not trying to start anything.)

So they will loose value slower than usual.

Yeah, I guess I knew that :)

There must be a dealer round here with a secret stash of them - mine was "the only LCR in the village" for over a year! :funk: lol Now though, there's one of each colour, and two in platinum :(

The same dealer gave me £11.5k for my 6 month old FR 20VT in exchange for the LCR (lost about £4k). A few days later it was in the forecourt for £14k

Still, better than the Punto I had - lost about £10k in 2 1/2 years! lol Swore I'd never buy a new car again after that....
