LCR wheels rubbing arches on full lock?

Just wondering if I should mention this to my SEAT dealer, I recently had my LCR's subframe adjusted at SEAT to correct an off centre steering wheel.

The steering wheel now points in the right direction but I am now noticing that on full lock at parking speeds the wheels are rubbing the front arches slightly, I can't remember it doing this prior to the subframe adjustment, does anybody elses standard LCR do this?

Cheers

Rich

Never noticed this on mine, and it's the sort of thing you would notice too, so if it's only just started doing it I'd get it back to Seat for them to check out.

i know this is a REALLY old thread, but just found it while looking for something else.

My car does this, it sounds really bad, almost like grinding metal, quite serious. i have no idea what it is.

Anyway if you've managed to stop this on yours from happening, please let me know what it is!!

I have an 04 Cupra R 225.

i haven't checked the brakes at all, although in the two and a half yeas ive owned it, they've never stopped squeaking.

I've taken it to a power steering specialist in Greenwhich, they confirmed that there was nothing wrong the the power steering at all, my car had the big full service plus belts, they checked the CV joints then and confirmed that nothing was untoward or a problem.

My rear suspension is really creaky too, you can hear it from outside the car, but that’s a separate issue.

My NSF tyre used to scuff the arch liner when on full right lock...

Took the NSF wheel off and it was fairly obvious where the tyre was fouling the liner as it had gone smooth and shiny over the months.

It turned out that one of the plastic screws holding the liner in place had popped out and the liner had come away into the line of the tyre.

Re-fastened the screw and secured everything and now all is fine and scuff free :D
