Just been quoted 189 quid to replace my front pads on my 04 LCR at my local dealers ! Is there any discounts on here for standard LCR pads ?

Cheers

Speak to Quattroman on here, he might have a set of Galfer's left which are the OE for Brembo iirc. Also try the IMG Seat section?

I was quoted that figure from SEAT last week. Do what I did: Buy Ferrodo DS2500 pads from Bill (IbizaCupra/Badger5) which retail at 110 all in, VAT, p&p etc... Then fit them yourself or get a mate to fit 'em.

Roughly what I paid for mine at Patterson Seat Newcastle stealers a few weeks ago. If you can do it yourself and source the parts independantly it's always gonna be cheaper. Quite fankly I can't be arsed to do it / learn how to do it. I'm quite happy to pay good money for brakes and tyres.

The Ferrodos do not come with a wear sensor, no.

My pads were worn but the sensor didn't come on anyway.

There's a way round it. The sensor is on the left wheel, just cut the wire, tape it up and then join up, solder or use a paperclip on the other two wires.

Like I say my mate Ovni_Al did it so my knowledge is a bit sketchy, but there are guides on here. Use the search thingy...

Cheers for that , just order some from him. very good price....i also rung the place were he was getting the GB from (leda suspension) and they quoted me 68 quid . The guy there also said that cupranet got a top discount cause he thinks he or someone messed up on the prices (quoting euros instead of sterling) either way he said it was dirt cheap. The guy ( Matt ) also said the Galfer had increased the prices since the GB. So i will end up getting them for 70 quid fitted...beats 190 from stealers !

I get NVS to come out and fit OE pads to my LCR at my work. Its £140 ish for front pads. Call on 0870 850 6651.

IM not sure how far they cover - but the N in NVS stands for "national"

Im really impressed with thier proffesionalism and expertise so far and they are nice people to do business with.

My local dealer in berks charges £230 for front pads fitted so I always use NVS
