LCR mileage question?

Hi i am looking to buy a LCR my budget only alows me to buy really high milers though, how many miles are these cars generally good for? would i be better buying a low mileage leon cupra? i have only have about 8.5k to play with.

running costs for the LCR are quite high.
The cars themselves have great engines and if serviced regular will last way over 150k

I agree on that, they come together - use the brakes and it will wear the tyres. With enthusiastic driving expect to get 10k to a set of front tyres and pads.

Thanks for the info on servicing/tyres etc, realise that they eat tyres/pads but i need to know what mileage they tend to fall apart at. I had an old Golf gti mk2 8v and everyone said they were usually good for 200k and mine fell to bits at about 110k it had had 9 previous owners though! dont really want to make the same mistake again! I cant squeeze another penny over 8.5k so what i really need to know is whether to get the high miler lcr or a low ish miler cupra (which i can always send to jabba in a few months).
