Hi Guys, I am looking to lower my LCR. Just wanting to know if anything else is needed to be done other than just shocks and springs? as i heard if dropping on coilovers there is more to be done underneath the car to get it to sit right. Also how much is best to drop it by? and what kit should i go for?

Cheers

just done a quick search, sounds like some people just change springs rather than the whole kit? That kit from KW are they the ones people normally go for on the lcr?

I don't know about normally mate, there are so many options when it comes to suspension. Most people seem to be going for coilovers lately, even ebay specials for around £150. I'm of the opinion that good quality matched springs and dampers will give me a better setup than some cheapo ebay special coilover kit.

Are you just after lowering your LCR for looks or for better handling?.If its the later i would recommend around 20mm max.Going really low will not help your handling.
If its handling you are after, rather than cheap coilover kits or miss matched spring/damper kits then a good alternative which will massively improve your handling will be front & rear roll bars, various sizes available to suit what you want in the car,and for a reasonable cost you can get a good product.(Assuming you havent already got them)
Off course,if you want your LCR to be lower then this route aint no good, but if you want it to handle better then both ARB'S are a good start point.
Just my opinion like.;)
