lcr gearbox price

has anyone had there leon cupra r rebuilt/reconditioned or had a new one put in, just wondering what kind of price this is likely to set me back, mine has developed a fault where when i slow down in gear it makes a dodgy noise, goes into gear fine with no crunching and only happens when slowing down, and not using the accelerator, been told i may need the gearbox rebuilt many thanks

sound like the bearings in the box then dont need a new box just it taken out and new bearings put in it sounds like main shaft bearings to me

thanks for the reply mate, i was quoted a grand for parts and labour for a full rebuild when i phoned around for some quotes today, probably best getting it checked over properly before forking out more than i have to and getting ripped off, hopefully wont cost that much
