LCR Drivers Side Seat

Chaps,

I have an issue with my drivers seat and I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem.
Everytime I am stationary, says at the lights, just as I move off my seat makes a little knock noise, I know its my seat cos I can feel and hear it. Its a bit like its a little loose on its runners or something, has anyone experienced this? Its driving me mad, I want it sorted but wish I knew what it was. Is this a common problem, please tell me it is..

is the seat actually loose if you wobble it when your not sat in it, and when your in it
gotta watch as loose seats will fail MOT

checked to see if a coin or anything has got stuck in the runner?

its a weird one, it dont rattle or knock when I am not sat in it, it just makes this knock noise when Im sitting on it. I will check the runners this weekend.

only remember this as my old celica did this, i had to get a new seat to get through MOT, basically mine was caused just by years of wear to the runners.

but check everything first, simplest things are usually the best to try and eliminate first

I had the same thing on the passenger seat in a 206 GTi I had a while back. I had to have the runners replaced.

Mine was doing that - turned out to be the thing you click your seat belt into - well, the piece of metal its attached to - knocking against the plastic seat base. Only a tiny movement, but annoying. Put a tiny piece of black insulation tape between the stalk and the seat, been fine ever since,
