LCR Downpipe / Decat question

Hiya, Ive just bought a decat and DP for my LCR -

Im having the car remapped soon with an APR remap, My car came back on the trial with NO faults at all,

Will the car suffer from turbo issues with the higher boost and the free flow of the DP and decat?

My old Fiat coupe 20vt had a decat and after a while the tubby seals went..

Are the K04 turbos strong seal wise?

The turbo should be good as long as your not getting too high a boost spike.
Do you have a boost gauge or VAG com to check for this?

I would guess remapped you'll be running higher boost than you are just now so shouldn't really be an issue.

Remember your driving a quality German/Spanish motor now, LOL

The KO4 is a good turbo, if it does let go you can get it hybrided, win win situation

No Gauge yet - Psi or Bar Guage??

Il get one from an Ebay shop, I can get the pod and gauge for about £40 all in,

That a decent price?

Depends on how much you trust a £40 gauge?
It doesn't matter wether its PSI or BAR as long as you understand what its telling.

1 BARg = 14.6 PSI

OK, I get the remap & dp, decat, what boost should I be seeing, and whats the safe limit for the std IC?

The OEM intercooler works okay with Stage 2 boost but intercooler will allow it to hold this better for longer
