LCR - Coolant Temp Sensor Query

Hello..I have 2 questions as follows:

1) Have any of you changed your CTS to the 'green' version and, if so, why?

2) If you have a misreading CTS will this ALWAYS show up as a fault?

Thank you

the green version is known to be more reliable, and hence requires changing less often.

From what i know, a misreading CTS will NOT always show up as a fault - its best to get logging with vag-com and find out if there are any spurious readings from it.

1) Yes, because I had a fault

2) Don't know. Mine threw "System too rich" codes before it threw the "error in mapped coolant sensor" code though.
