LCR Brembo Pads - Correct Shape?

Hi people,

Just had my pads replaced at the dealers...........with standard Brembo type (i hope). I had a look at them this morning and they are a bit of a funny shape.

Can you tell me if they are supposed to have a slight 'taper' at the top and bottom of the pad? - I never looked at my old pads in detail.

I would presume that the whole pad face should be touching the disc face?

I hope they have put on the same type of pads that came with the car, as they don't feel quite as sharp as they used to!!!!

Cheers all

Lee.

AFAIK this is normal

LCR pads have the taper / chamfer on the leading edge
ICR pads have no taper

Your bedding the pads in for the first few hundred miles before giving them any abuse yeah??

Wanted to get some better pads, but was caught out with very low pads!!! (prob 3mm!.....must have just been off of the wear sensor).......my fault for not keeping and eye on them!

It was in for warranty work and I did not want to drive it again until the pads were replaced.

If i had time I would have done it myself..............

Still once I get it re-mapped i'm sure they will soon wear down!!! ;)
