LCR Brake Discs

All,

Do I have to go through a main dealer to find replacement Front Brake discs? GSF are telling me they are a Brembo product sold solely to Seat?? I am of the understanding that my wallet is going to be £300 lighter due to this.

I would do a search but after a hard day at work and 2 glasses of finest Rioja, I can't be bothered.

they are right.. they are a brembo disk.. 323x28.. however, EBC have copied the pattern and have much cheaper disks available.

£104 +vat for a Brembo disk
£59+vat for an EBC one
like for like plain disks

Grooved versions also available

Thanks for the information, a bit of a relief as I have recently gone from LC to LCR and am looking at all eventualities at the moment.

Do you stock discs?

Bill, whats the advantage of the grooved disks? Better grip?

I'm sure I have read something about the EBC disks warping, any truth in that or have I just made it up?

The EBC's combined with DS2500 ferodo pads work well, and on the test LCR we tried a set of the new EBC disks on, they work equally as well as the brembo's.

Grooved disks help wipe the pad surface, so when used in anger, the pad surface wont glaze over like they could otherwise. That said DS2500's are unlikely to glaze over unless seriously mullared.

they come from EBC direct when I order them, so delivery is usually 1-2days

Sorry to hijack the thread Bill can you give us a price for the 330mmx28mm big brake conversion on the LCR with the AP Racing 2 piece disks with some new 2500 and also a good set of grooved rears please
