About £60 I think, either dealer or a specialist air-con place. That should sort it right out.

No, you'll still have to have a shower ;)

Should do - that is a result of bacteria building up in the system. Might be worth getting some of the gear you spray down the vents too, to kill the nasties.

Mine has just been done under warranty because first a seal failed letting all the gas out, then the unit that controls the fans blew up. Super cold now, to the point where its not nice to hold your arm/hand in front of a vent!

Dealer quoted me about £120 to have mine serviced. Its still colder than I would ever want it so I won't bother yet.

I'd probably use a specialist anyway as should be cheaper.

just had the peugeot done (again  )
had a new condenser fitted due to following a grit lorry too close during the winter
then had new compressor pipes coz 1 was leaking by the battery tray,
finally on 3rd re-gas, the car is so cold now i almost need to wear a jumper :hide:

it has made the Ibiza feel not so cold anymore, it's just 2 years old, perhaps that could do with a re-gas too.

local blokey charges £67 for re-gas :D

Mine been re-gassed twice recently under warranty, once as they said a seal had failed which was causing water to leak into the car.

Then when the water was still leaking they had to re-gas it again when they replaced the fan assembly cover which was cracked.

The Air Con is still crap though.

Well something isn't right, because if mine is really nice and cold I don't see why others can't be.

Saying that, the air con in my Dad's new Golf could give you hypothermia in about 4 minutes I reckon.

they reckon every two years, and you must use it for a couple of minutes each week as a minumum, even in the winter.
Mine is permanently on, i just adjust the temp from 14'c - 18'c depending on summer/winter.
Full heat (30'c) on screen setting first thing in the morning tho
