hi, was going to book it in at custom code within the next few weeks and was thinking was it worth it?? does the remap give you a noticable improvement on 0 to 60mph?? (im getting upset with some people leaving me trying to catch up )
If youve had the 225 a while then definitely get one! it really is a big boost, the extra torque is fantastic. 0-60 will be a bit quicker but traction is then more of an issue, i'd get a forge 007 DV as well as it makes a difference in the way the engine picks up.
Teh mid range wallop is more what the remap will help and you can leave it in 6th more and use teh torque so mpg does actually go up slightly!
i have the 007p, smoothed airbox, n valve bypass and the forge dogbone mount (not yet fitted). need a filter and exhaust i think.
had the car about 5 months now.
the cars that are leaving me are silly ones like my friends newly aquired evo( i know i have no chance with that but would like him to worry every now and again lol)
i supose the differance between stage one and two is large? ... but does it affect the reliablitly?
You could definately do with an air filter before your re-map but the standard LCR exhaust will be fine for now. Stage one is a generic re-map and gives a great power increase, stage 2 is more tailored to work with up-grades such as a bigger turbo, FMIC etc. Book it asap, you won't regret it!
You wont worry your mate at all in the 0-60 stakes with his evo, but get the remap and he will be very worried in the rolling 30 mph + area. With a remaped LCR no matter what tyres, suspension mods youve done you just aint gonna beable to floor it from a standing start.Mid range and top end are very different though.
i do think there pretty good, not to keen on the s3 for some reason .
i think ill get me the remap and see how it goes? if not i can always roll out the 205 to scare the evos away lol.
as long as the remap gives me a big smile ill be a happy chap
