Don't pay too much for them too.... I paid £100 each for a pair of 225/45/17s on Friday which was £30 (each) less after a bit of shopping around.

Could have got them cheaper, I know, but this was local and no hassle.

Havok - Try EasyFit in Weston Super Mare (www.easyfittyres.co.uk) they are very competitive, and will do a superb job for you.

There number is 01934 429910.

The size for an LCR is indeed 225/40ZR18 92Y XL

The new Goodyear pattern that will supercede the F1, is called a Goodyear F1 Asymmetric. They are not available in every size yet, but this is now the flagship tyre from Goodyear.

You will pay more for these, than the standard F1's (which are a 7 year old pattern now).

I'm certainly considering the new tyre as a replacement for my PS2s

Brilliant just quite ££. But can't fault them, miles better than the Bridgestones that the car came with. They grip, dry, wet, summer, winter

Personally don't think you can beat the Eagle F1 GSD3's had 2 or 3 sets on my focus befroe i got rid of it and as soon as Pilot sports have worn on my Cupra i'll be putting GSD3's on, got a quote for 225/45/17 around £105 fitted
