Got an LC with Revo Stage 2 (miltek 3" downpipe, high flow cat, 2.5" xorst, 4bar fpr, kn panel filter)

Want smoother power and am aware of the stock tip being restrictive and am currently noticing a compromise in power with the warmer weather setting in.

Will be looking at just under £1,000 inc. fitting for a SAMCO TIP and a Forge FMIC, but don't want to splash out another grand (after the stage 2) if this is gonna be a mild improvement that I'll tire of very quickly.

I get the impression that the intake kit I have, very similar to the Carbonio design, would work more effectively when the TIP is similar diameter, whereas it is currently much smaller.

I'm sure there'll be a gain with the TIP and the FMIC won't increase power, just reduce any compromise in warm weather.

I'd get an LCR as you'll want to do suspension next then something else etc. etc. Or look at a S3 etc

ive got pretty much everything you have plus the tip and fmic fitted fella, fk coilovers are on their way, i decided quite early on to keep the lc as i did have a brief fling with an idea of an lcr but to be honest the lcr isnt much faster as standard, lookswise...well both cupra and cupra r have their own personality, i prefer the audi looking front of the LC (facelift that is). the only thing remaining for me to change for big power is the gt2x or gtrs turbo and injectors which i cant see costing more than a grand. this will have to wait a while as the wedding is collecting any spare drips of my wages at the moment.

again, been in the same boat mate.
Trouble is, the price the dealers give you for the LC in part-ex, or even selling private. It'll just cost quite a bit for what is, IMO, little gain.

LCR over LC is deffo worth it IMO. Does depend on what you wnat to do in the future though if you intend to do suspension/brake/turbo upgrade might as well keep the LC. If all you intend to do is remap, FMIC and exhaust though I'd go for the LCR every time- more than likely anyone you'd pick up would be remapped anyhow making it quicker than any tuned LC would be short of a new turbo.

see you've got an FMIC now, what did/do you think of that? Have you got an aftermarket TIP also?

I won't uprate the suspension as i have passengers too, and get nagged already bout the firm ride! (shame really, I always thought my wife liked it firm...). Brakes are making noises now, so will get them looked at. Are the new discs you got noticeably better? - brakes need improving from stock defo.

At the mo, I don't get much benefit from the cai. will this be much more noticeable with the better TIP?

IMO LCr is a good choice, but not forgetting, S3, and S4 even are cheap as chips now, maybe worth a think?
