LC - Price/Age

hello everyone

Just looking for a little advice from you knowledgeable people. I currently drive a rather slow BMW 318is and would like to sell this off and purchase myself a Seat Leon Cupra. Having looked at a few of the posts on this site the sensible option seems to be selling my car private then purchasing a car private too.

There is a Y-Reg LC in my local garage up in Aberdeen with 76k on the clock priced at £4995. Is this a fair price or expensive..??
How much should I be looking to pay for an LC of similar age and mileage....??
And secondly what would be classed as high mileage on this car since it is a turbo. Sorry if this sounds stupid but although I have owned loads of cars I have never owned a Turbo.

Many Thanks
Donny

Hello and welcome to the site matey,

Id's say it's about an average price for year and mileage for a garage sale, cupra prices are all over the place, if you look at the autotrader site, thtas what i found looking for mine last year,

It's more about overall condition of the car in question.

What i would say is check the service history, is intact, and thats it's had the cam belt done, which it needs by that mileage.

Being a vag based car mileage isn't really too much of a issue, providing it's had it's 12 monthly/10k service on time and been looked after, and had that all immportant cam belt done, recently.

Have a look at this---> http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/Review.aspx?model=811 which might help out..
