LC Clutch

Evening all.

At the moment I am getting clutch slip when accelerating hard, which I have read in the other clutch related articles on the forum. (Very handy as it confirmed what I was thinking).

Having decided that I am going to have to fork out for the replacement as the AA warranty doesn't cover wear and tear parts, even though it says 'Pressure plate etc, I am going to have to part with just over £500 to get Seat to do it.

I have chatted to a friend and he suggested asking about getting a heavy duty clutch, I just want to know if Seat would do a up rated one for a lil extra cash for piece of mind.

Any feedback would be great.

Aftermarket is the way to go
Try searching for Helix or Sachs clutches on here
In TTS (I think) section they are doing reductions on Spec clutches

well i bought a sachs uprated one can handle loads and cost just under 500 notes

lol cheers for that, I'll give them an e-mail asking how much, just want something to handle the 180 bhp better and what ever else I have done to it lol. I'll have to give Seat a bell too see if they do anything.

The clutches are rated with respect to torque
If you look at there section there is prices and ratings there

Hey Sol, Just for reference what mileage have you done on the present clutch?

The mileage is at 61500 miles about.
