Lc (00) engine problem!

hi,

When i start the car up after a it's been off for a while the engine seems to rev high, then rev low (rev counter fluctuates), when I actually drive the car ,the car becomes under-powered, I put my foot down but nothing happens at first but slowly it starts to accelerate.

Once the car is warmed up it runs as it should, any ideas as to what it could be?

Unplug the MAF and see if it runs better. Dont drive it too far though. If it seems better you've found the culprit. Failing that, get it on Vag-Com

Yep as above, either the MAF sensor or could possibly be dirty throttle body

Is a Throttle Body relatively easy to clean? how would i go about it?
