I've brought a seat Inca van and just picked up a Ibiza GTi front bumper from a 1998 car. Now I've brought the grill to suit with the bumper but will I be able to cut the wings and just mount the GTi bumper hanger to the Inca wings or is it the later wings too that also need changing.

Thanks for any advise, it's all new to me:blink:

Not 100% sure about the inca but I assume it has the same wings as the ibiza. It is possible to fit the front bumper of a later car to an early car.

Try this

few pics
looked sort of like this

took it to bits looked kinda like this

now looks like this

the bumper fits on the same mounting points but is about 1" bigger at either side, you need to flex it it and tack it to the arch liner with a bit of steel or aluminium like this

any questions feel free to ask :funk:

Cheers mate, those pictures are a great help to me.

On the later bumper I got the mounting for it onto the wing is different to the standard bumper so I brought the brackets that go on the wings from Seat. I think that if I cut off the bottom half of the wing I should be ok:blink:

Soon find out:headhurt:
