Lambda Sensor

Right, other day the engine light came on etc, took it to seat and they told me it was my lambda sensor and gave me this product code: 06A906262AR - then expected me to pay 120£ part and 40£ fitting so i quickly jogged on...

Just wondering if anyone could tell me which lambda sensor it is? so i can look for the part rather than that specific part number (I assume there are other which'll fit and that wont cost £120)

Thanks in advance - sorry if i have repeated what anyone else has said just give me a link or sumthing... I have seen a couple posts with a Very very similar part no... but would it fit?

my engine light come on an vagcom,d it said it was lambda sensor so got them change an light turned off but few weeks later engine light come back on vagcom,d again said the cat was f**ked so left the lambda sensors an not changed the cat. that was about 2year ago an it still passes mot haha

lol sounds good.. what about the stupid annoyin orange light? proper annoying.

Have you done a basic search? You'll get that part for £60 if you do, I only just posted on this.

Check this thread... It's for the Cupra obviously, but if you check part numbers they might match. Failing that, there are several sites on the internet that will show you which Bosch part will fit, then eBay that part.

yea did do a search, but couldnt find direct match on part no.
my only trouble was - i don't know which lambda sensor needs changing - could i tell by the part no?

Yeah usually....they're the same part but one has a longer lead than the other on the Cupra..

ahh right cool, that explains it then - i did read through some posts.. maybe yours - not sure, ill check again., but it had a very similar part no, thanks for your help

Well, after driving without fixing this sensor for a few days the orange lights gone off and the temp gauge is working (all on its own).. wouldnt know anythings not working now.. well confusing!
