Lambda Sensor May Be Needed

Evening all..

How's everyone? Ive got a new problem which my local garage have decided in their infinite wisdom to disclose after letting me go buy a new catalytic converter, God but how slowly we learn in situations like this... Now they tell me I may also need a new Lambda Sensor. Quite why they didnt tell me this when I was ordering the first *** part, who knows, but can any of you advise on one costing under the £100 theyve quoted me? I believe it's a 3 wire for this AGG engine/year, can anyone confirm that to save me having to search or get under the car in the rain?? Pleeeeeeeeeease. Thanks again.



PS The catalytic converter was aglow, they reckoned it nearly set fire to their garage, at least that would have been some consolation for their trying to charge me £200 over the odds for the Cat! We all gotta eat guys.... stiff your customers too many times and you wont have any left to grossly overcharge!

Thanks. Have already checked the GSF Parts Catalogue, didnt seem to have the sensor but might double check wth them in case it's listed under something other than Lambda, eg. oxygen sensor? Also have sent a request to Euro Car Parts, still waiting for a response so at least we are both thinking along the same lines.....just want my car fixed without the bill going through da roof. Thanks for your help.
