My Ibiza failed its MOT yesterday miserably. It passed everything except the emissions (figures below) which like I said it failed in quite spectacular fashion.

Limits Actual Figure Pass/Fail
Fast Idle Test 1
Engine Speed 2450-2850 2671 Pass
CO <0.30% 5.17% Fail
HC <200ppm 218ppm Fail
^ 0.970 - 1.030 0.855 Fail
Fast Idle Test 2
Engine Speed 2450-2850 2679 Pass
CO <0.30% 5.30% Fail
HC <200ppm 196ppm Pass
^ 0.970 - 1.030 0.853 Fail
Natural Idle Test
Engine Spped 690-990 804 Pass
CO <0.50% 8.60% Fail
Having shown the test results to my tutors at college (I'm a VERY poor mature student studying mechanics so can't afford to get a garage to fix this) they seem to think my Lambda Sensor is knackered. Would you guys agree with this assessment?
Other known faults on the car include:
Water Temp gauge on the dash works but intermittantly
External Temp Gauge on radio consol not working
Seems to be incredibly thirsty
Doesn't like to idle when it's cold
I've done a search on the net to order one but can't find anything... Does anyone know where I can get a lambda at a reasonable price? It's the 5 wired one. Does anyone know the correct part number?
