Have got Vag-Com to work with Vista now... But have had two codes come up...

17524 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating: B1 S1: Open Circuit
P1116 - 35-00 -

16518 P0134 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 No Activity Detected

Is this my Lambda sensor fooked? How easy/hard are they to change with minimal tools and space!?

If its not lambda, what else is it? Cheers..

Jamie.

No fuses are blown! Which i was hoping they would be!

I am correct in saying that its the Lambda sensor fooked? The engine management light is on, and the engine doesnt sound the same or boost the same i think...

Can anyone help? Is it the lambda or does anyone think its anything else?!

Well, i checked everything today, the lambda probe is secure, and the wires arent fouling on the exhaust etc... So i am going to order a new one tomorrow and then see how i get on...

are you sure you have checked your fuses and that its not a faulty wire/fuse?

because lambda probes are not cheap...to clarify they are xpensive!!! 100 quid i believe in the UK

Yeah, all fuses in the car are ok... I checked the wire more than once, and all seems ok...

I realise they're kind of expensive! But if i need a new one, then so be it i guess!

do you know anyone that also has a cupra, or someoe that is close to you, that you can take it off, just to see if it does solve it?

I have actually only read once here that a lambda sensor broke and that was myki...don;t even know if that was really the problem

I am only saying this because it would be a shame to buy a new one for so much money just to see it NOT solve the problem.

ANd if you do know someone close by, or someone from this forum, the lambda sensor is real easy to take off and exchange...

Unfortunately there isnt anyone about in the area with a Cupra, i only know one person sort of close, but they havent responded to my PM...

I will get it up again on tuesday as i am working late tomorrow and have another good look...

I know what you mean, £100 is quite steep if it doesnt fix the problem!

thats what I mean

I also understand you want to sort the problem soon as possible. I know I do (my car is giving me loads of shi*).

But yeah 100 is steep.

By the way I am not saying it won't sort the problem, I'm just not sure

Yeah i know mate... Best to check all options first before replacing!

But if all wires etc are ok, the only thing left then is the probe itself being dead...
