Hi guys, my cupra has a flat sopt between when the turbo kicks in at 2,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm.

the turbo soppls up fine but apart from that there is not a lot of power before 4,000rpm.

is this normal with these engine.

thanks David

i havnt had a boost gauge fitted yet so i cant really see what the boost is doing but, there is a deffinate flat spot before it gets to 4,000rpm and then it feels like another little boost.

thanks david

This may sound stupid and may be embarassing myself here, but maybe a blocked fuel filter? Maybe it cant get the fuel up quick enough until the pressure gets higher. But mine comes on full boost about 2.2k

Ive got a similar problem to this, the car still pulls really good from 2500rpm to 5000rpm but then i get a massive boost up until redline, i just find it weird as i know the s3's are supposed to die off at around 5800rpm not keep going!

Well the thing is the previous owners or whoever serviced before i got it split the clips holding the fuel filter on and tie wrapped in on but havent got round to sorting it out yet so im wondering if it could be that!

I would recommend doing it in silicon instead of the OE stuff, cheaper too
Top of DV to N249 is 5mm hose
