I heard from a relative last month that a new dealership was opening not far from where i work in oswestry, I filled out the online form on the seat website to be kept informed this was acknowledged by them.

I find out from a work collegue that the garage has been open for a couple of weeks now so i phone them and yes they are open !!

Are seat happy with a 1% market share ???, I would be travelling about 40 miles to the dealer i bought the car off if i hadnt by chance found out about the new dealer.

In summary the new leon is superb but seat themselves are very poor, I should add that when i was buying the car in march i twice rquested a brochure that didnt turn up and only for the fact that i really liked the car i wouldnt have bothered, i dont think seat will be around for alot longer since this does not get them new customers or for that matter retain existing ones......

Would this be at JT Hughes?
I was there on Saturday, and although they were helpfull, they were clearly struggling to get on top of their parts side of things.
I'm hoping that the enthusiasm continues and they become a good dealer for it.
Watching with baited breath.........

J T Hughes yeah, though to be fair to them my complaint is with seat themselves for not letting people know that they are in oswestry, How did you find out davey?

I think that J T Hughes will probably be a good dealer in time as i hear good reports about their honda garage there, Is the garage fully liveried as a seat dealer? because arthurs the vauxhall garage were briefly a service centre for seat but the garage never said seat on it perhaps as it was and still is vauxhall.

In what way were Hughes struggling with parts???

I found out through my Dad who is a mechanic, so has lots of contacts through trade. He mentioned it to me and i went along to see for myself and source a nut (which they gave FOC to be fair).
They were unsure about what they did or didn't stock as the parts had arrived days earlier and looked like it was yet to be organised and put on to computer, but to be fair they were helpfull enough and found what i was looking for.
I did go to SEAT at Arthurs ONCE and found the parking to be a nightmare and the service to be poor as they came across as only being interested in Vauxhall customers, and SEAT were second best. I only found out they were there by looking at the SEAT website, but didn't belive that it was right so took a drive down there to be sure. As you said, No SEAT signs or info on the premisis so i'd be surprised if anyone in Oswestry knows about them.

I was down there 2 weeks ago and they are getting there.
JT Hughes has a good reputation, so i'm sure the SEAT side will keep it that way.

Great news about the new dealership at Oswestry, I will probably give them a try when my service is due. I have not very pleased with my treatment at LC Charles after buying a Leon from them.

What is the problem with SEAT dealerships anyway? Over the past few years I have seen all three of my nearest garages close down (or stop doing SEATs) in Rhyl, Runcorn and Liverpool.

I purchased my first Toledo from Pentraeth Automotive in Nefn in 1996 and they were ALWAYS good to me over the ten years we owned that model. I believe that particular garage has now closed but they still have a SEAT dealership in Bangor I think. Anyone had experience of their service department?

A friend of mine uses Pentraeth Anglesey and says theyre very good, I recently emailed them for a price on a service for my Leon and they were very helpfull, L C Charles Crewe didnt bother replying...

I visited oswestry for a price and they were the same price as Pentraeth so will probably use them, Has anyone used J T Hughes for service work on their Seat yet ??
