just fitted some prism led sidelight bulbs on the car only to find they arnt coming on and iv got a light coming up on the dashboard. anyone had similar? cheers :confused:

The "Bulb out" warning system is activating the dash light. This is because the led bulbs pull less current than the standard bulbs and the ecu senses the lack of current and presumes the bulbs have blown. You need to fit resistors to the earth side of the wiring to the bulb to simulate a higher current draw, and the y should work. The place you got the bulbs from should be able to supply the resistors as it's a common issue.

and note that an led will only light up if the current is passing through in the correct direction

try fitting em the other way round (if you can)

Bought some led's for wifes corsa the other day and one would not work so I took it out checked the wire and refitted it then ok so I presumed that was the problem.Did'nt realise they only work one way round so cheers for that.

right lads got em both working but they come on for 5 seconds then go off, they do this everytime its like somthings kicking in any ideas?
