knocking noise from front and brake noise

Today I've experienced two different noises whilst doing turning around in the road. They were quite loud so wondering what it could be and if anyone has any ideas over here?

Firstly, I did sort of a three-point turn and kinda went into someones upward sloping driveway then reverse out. When turning into the slope, I heard a very loud knocking noise - This was felt from the pedals area too and felt like its somewhere from the front drivers side.

Secondly, When reversing out a very loud screech was heard, beleive from the rear brakes or something. Any ideas what this could be and how I can sort it?

The knocking from the front was heard last week as well. I think i've only started to hear it since the Seat Sport strut brace was fitted - could this be what causes it?!?

The car has FK highsports coilovers, which have known to be noisy but not sure if it was these as the noises were recently sorted out. The CV joint was also replaced last october so doubt it is that really.

Any help appreciated?

prob your coilovers I would say

making the car rigid and putting more stress on other parts of the suspension and chassis that normally only move a little

one of the down sides of stiff suspension I'm sorry to say

the screeching could be your clutch or sometimes the brakes can squeal when reversing

Ah right, thanks for your reply mate. Guess i'll just live with that :)

But the noise whilst reversing. I don't think its the clutch, more like rear brake squeal think its probably because its quite cold too.

Na, did use the shorter FK drop links but they didnt appear to make contact with the arch linings :S

However, upon inspecting the drivers side (side where knocking is coming from), it appears that the boot of the end link that connects to the shock is slightly perished, probably not but is this something to worry about?

Exact same thing happens to me, although mine is 3 months old, 1400 miles and not modded???

Any ideas?

Will do, but wondered what it could be, is it a serious problem that I shouldn't drive the car???

The knocking when turning can be the arch liner hitting the drop links. If u get about half lock and have a look u will see just how close it is.

ive got fks and have never had that problem but was worned apon fitting that i might need to remove a small section of wheel sheild to stop the drop links catching could be your ball joint is split and is causing it to knok when under load will be a small clunk noise when taking up drive. my rear breaks squeel sometimes when reversing obviously a feature on the old beezer :D hope you get it sorted fella
