Ive just dropped my immobiliser key down the drain with my fone!

Ive found a replacement on ebay but was wondering if it would work as it may have a different frequency???

Can anybody clarify that if i transfer the transponder between the keys that the key should work when reprogrammed?

Thanks in advance, Jonni

should do unless the transponder has been damaged, but I think they are sealed. All u need is a key with same frequency and to program it off car shouldnt cost u too much. Check the flip key info thread in the FAQ area

Part of my problem is that i dont actually know what frequency my key was!

Is there anyway of finding out?(i dont have VAG COM)
I supose i could buy a key witheach frequency and sell the key that doesnt work though

either will do as long as its not the older siemens version that the mk2/3 ibiza use.
if your going flip key then get either

HLO 1JO 959 753 A is 433mhz 2 button
HLO 1JO 959 753 AG is 434mhz 2 button
HLO 1JO 959 753 AH is 434mhz 3 button

alll of the ones above will deffo work as i have tried them (the 3 button one has the nice boot button on too - great little feature ;) )
