If you are up to it split the case and dry it open. Thats what I would fo. The electronics should have coating to protect it from moisture, but not immersion.
The key once coded doesn't need to be coded again.
You'll find videos on
how to open up your key and take the few parts that are inside out of the case.
Don't heat it above 40c or so, certainly not on a radiator.
Packing the key in a bag of rice will lower the humidity and
help it to dry, but if it's wet inside then it will take a long time.
