Hi all

Newbie to the site, after a bit of advice if possible...

I am looking to fit a new HU to my 05 Leon FR and was thinking of getting the - Kenwood KDC-BT8044U.
One thing I am uncertain of though is whether or not you can change the illumination colours to match the red on the dash and heating controls etc? Also, if anyone has fitted one and has any comments on how good/bad it is that would be much appreciated.

Cheers in advance.

Haven't got one but have looked at one in a local car audio shop. Seems fairly good to me but I dont think the interface re scrolling through contacts and music tracks was the most intuitive - took a little getting used to but not a massive issue.

In answer to your q, yes I do think you can change the illumination but to be sure just google the model name and you will see a link direct to the kenwood site - they list the features quite comprehensively.

Also, you can buy any of the other kenwood HU's and the KCA-BT200 (Bluetooth module) which gives you bluetooth on any of their HU's - depending on what offers/sites you are looking at it might work out cheaper (Although you will then have an extra little box to hide away).

7544u can be changed to whatever colour you want?also jvc kdc r601.
neither have bluetooth built in however
i find kenwood units having changed to 2 rotating and angling knobs that its rather difficult to change source, etc especially on bumpy roads
