Kenwood Cage Problems

Hi, have bought a kenwood cage for my kenwood HU, the cage stops the unit going in too far but does not stop the unit from coming back out, and therefore keeps pushing out all the time.

Whats going on?

You will find little metal tabs on the cage push it in then bend tabs in to hold cage in hole then slide in HU till it locks. The Leon dash doesnt line up that well with Kenny cages so you'll have to bend a few tabs all round. good luck mine went in ok after bending ALL of them but suck n see!

If its what I think you mean, then there are one big tab on each side of the cage. You need to push them into the cage by about 5mm, this will enable the hu to push them back out so they spring back in to lock to hu in place.
