oh when i had put them on i tried moving the car but it felt like the handbrake was on so i thought it might be the 50mm bolts i put in (and craig) so i took them out and put shorter ones in but now my handbrake is naff so could i have done any damage???

cheers

Definatly needs dropping further, a 35mm drop on 1.4 springs takes it to the standard Cupra height. I'd be looking at going for either a full kit, or some 40mm drop springs from a Cupra!

As for checking the hand brake, jack the car up, back wheel off, center hub cap off, remove 28mm (i think) nut, and then slide the drum off. You'll see the handbrake cable which is wrapped round a spring. The drum set up is dead easy to strip and repair.
