Just had my front wheel off painting the so common rusty wheel hubs and noticed my frony tyres are about shot. The cae has done 12800 miles of which 7000 is by me and my wife. Was abit shocked they had gone so quick as 80% of our driving is round town, only gets pushed hard when i get chance.
Its the first time i have had Pirelli tyres not impressed to be honest, had bridgestone reo50a on my last car , Golf GTI mark 5 with revo map and they lasted to 17000.
I have read alot about tyres on this forum, eagle F1 assys seem to get best for grip, but alot say they wear quick. Temped to go with the Bridgestones. But when i drive hard i want the best grip especially as i am getting a revo stage 1 map soon.
Really cant decide HELP.

hi cant help with tyre choice but would recomend a 4 wheel alignment but get the latest alignment data from your dealer as there was a problem from factory with wrong camber settings had part of my tyres paid for from SEAT as was under 10000 miles if under waranty still may be worth a try

This subject has been much discussed on here - but from my point of view i would say go with the Bridgestones - my K1 is just under the 14k mark and on its original tyres with maybe 3mm left all round. My tyres have to cope with a lot of power/torque so for me i can,t fault them.

I think the bridgestones are **** and would never get another set out of choice.
