K1 lights left on!

Just a quickie to K1 owners (or standard Cupra owners).

I've already established a few things my k1 doesnt have that my FR did, however not something I usually forget to do but left the lights on the other night when nipping out to the shops.

My k1 doesn't emit that annoying buzz when you take the keys out and open the door to remind you've left the lights on!

Is this normal on the k1?

My old FR warned me.

If it is inactive on mine either been disabled by previous owner can this be re-activated?

I hate the noise but very useful to have on I feel just in case i forget again

Cheers

i cant see why the K1 would nothave this.

does the interior light come on when you open the drivers door?
does it have welcome you home lights? - ie they stay on for 30 secs after you park up? is it possible it was that?
was it all the lights, not just one side? - ie parking lights?

doesn't have the 'welcome home' lights function.

lights where turned to full and still in that position when i returned to car.

Interior lights do come on when i remove key from ignition, just no sound emitted when opening the door if lights left on

There is no warning beep for full lights left on on the Cupra , there is the buzz for side lights.
Your car does have the coming home / leaving home function , it just needs to be enabled with vag com or you can do it yourself if you have bluetooth through the mfd screen.

Hope this helps.

Ahh, that makes sense. I only turn mine manually to sidelights to light up the dash. Would he have coming home lights if he doesn't have the conv pack for auto lights?

presumably if you have full headlights on, when you remove the keys and leave the car only the side lights are on? - then you would get the buzz when you open the drivers door?

i was asking about the drivers door and if this turns on the interior lights as i was wondering if the drivers door switch is inoperative. - therefore when you open the door the ecu does not know the door is open and so you get no warning.
However robdf2 seems to indicate you would get a warning for side lights, but not full lights. which seems strange!? (and would only side lights be on if you turned off ignition anyway?)

Yep, just checked, it buzzes when side lights are on but not when full lights are on which is very strange.

I do have the bluetooth kit and have had a flick through the setup menu, there is comfort pack options on there.

I havent checked if left on full they auto turn themselves off or is this a function of comfort pack.

Ill have a flick through the MFD menu and setups etc and see what I can establish. don't know if they warning can be turned on for full.

FYI for those who want to get the menu up and have bluetooth.

Hold the bottom trigger on the trip stalk in for 3 secs with ignition at 2 position and menu comes up.

Looks like you can set MFD, audio and setups etc here too

my k1 will turn its lights off if left on and the car gets locked. No beeping from it.

Mine too. I have auto lights. if set to auto. laving the car will turn the lights off eventually via the coming home option that i set to 10s. if lights are set in the full 'on' position then they go off straight away once the doors are locked.
