K04 hybrid

Basically I am in the process of going K04 and I have run into a problem.

Just got off the phone to Mark at CRT and it turns out my turbo needs more work than initially thaught.
Turns out it had had so much play that the turbine wheel had been hitting the housing as well as the compressor wheel (which i already was aware of)
I have 2 options.. get it fully rebuilt at a very good price.. or exchange for a hybrid unit he has sitting on the shelf.. I really cant decide.

Does anyone know if I could run a k04 hybrid (for a while) using a generic revo stage 2 S3 file and 225 injectors or would it flow too much??

i would personally get the hybrid version, if you have the availible cash they have seen around 330 bhp iirc

What I wanted to know was if it would fun fine on a generic K04 map..
I have decided to just get my k04 rebuilt again.. I will want to go BT in the future so its pointless getting the hybrid

From what Jabbasport told me when i fitted my k03s, go easy until its mapped and i had stage 1 at the time.

I guess fueling etc would be well out on boost so id assume you would have to unplug the n75 and go easy until it was mapped

Guess you have made your mind up though.

Custom most likely, wont be this year though.. handlings is next on my list this year, LSD/ARBs/polybushes ect.

custom seems to be the way forward to me to. ive got my elimanator kit but im going to go custom. id love a up and over manifold to give a little bit more space for a downpipe.

any thoughts on turbo? mine is gt28rs

Your right I would definitely want to go custom.

Erm the little kid in me is saying gt30 gt30! But tbh I think gt28rs will be more than enough in the little ibiza! I have plenty of time to think about it though haha

Go for the hybrid James! All the way - log the car once you fit it to see how far out the map is - if it's out then get it tweaked. Robbie C runs near on 300bhp with BAM injectors IIRC and LCR pump so fuelling should have the potential.

Im toying the idea of hybrid or bt in future

Biggest i will go is a gt2860rs though, for a daily id want as little lag as possible with as much "useable" power as possible, wouldnt go any bigger which is what sways me more toward hybrid power instead.

Im the same as you though, handling is coming first!

Too late now im afraid Joe! Went for just a standard rebuild. K04 should keep me happy for a while anyway.
Btw I cant get a ride to the nationals so it doesnt look like I can go! Boooo
Make sure you take loads of pics though mate.

Yeah, I want the car to be completely sorted before I start searching for big power. Have no plans on selling the car though so I can take my time.
