k03s conversion help

what is actually needed for a k03s conversion on a mk3cupra? what would be worthwhile changing when doin it? i've got a samco tip, fmic n stage1 software and am about to do stage2 when the group buy on SeatCarClub comes about. i know its a fairly common upgrade but know its not just gonna be a case of k03 off, k03s on! also is it ok to run on stage 1software temporarily? discuss...!

mate ive just done the same thing i used, KO3S, TIP,DECAT DOWNPIPE,FMIC, 4BAR, and also few other bits that most of us already have like induction kit,007 valve the when its all fitted the u need stage 2 asap then ur laffin all the way every time i put my foot down i cant take the smile off my face

yes mate stage1 with sps3. All i need is a FPR and D/P for stage2.

I wouldn't run stage 1 on a k03s, run it in stock mode until you get stage 2 - you don't want it to run lean.

Yup, stick it in stage 1 stock until you get stage 2

Don't feel tempted to 'test' it - it only needs to go lean once.

i agree i got all mine done 1 day the next mornin i got stage 2 well happy with the out come.

ye get the 4bar and dp and ul be right, had mine done, a few days later a guy in a WRX STI UK SPEC came boming along and got up along side me, we came off the roundabout and i wish i had a camera 2 take a pic of his face as he couldnt get passed me ha ha nothing better, it made it even better cos before the roundabout when he was along side he was lookin over and smilin asif to say dont even try and race me im in a subaru imprezer

i think i'm gonna wai till i get the downpipe sorted then stage 2 can be done asap. with the AET k03s they were offering a fitting kit for £40 to aid the conversion, is this needed and what does it consist of? just fresh gaskets and bolts?

ye its up 2 u, u could use ur old bits but for £40 its not worth it i bought the full fitting kit of bolts, gaskets, washers then u know its right hope u get it sorted ul b happy

can u just use the actuator/ manifold from the k03 or do u need the one off the k03s?

why not just wait and do DP & K03s all at once? saves cutting your knuckles twice.

Or get the DP 1st (since a k03s on stock mode with std DP gains you nothing) looses you power since you can't have it mapped..

yeah i had thought about doin d/p and turbo at same time but with regards to my exhaust when i get the d/p fitted i'm gettin a custom centre section made up to match the 2.75" d/p so can't fit turbo at same time!
so just to check there is nothing else i specifically need to buy/ do for the k03s?

m0rk why would it run lean on st1? its not like st2 is specifically written for the k03s is it

AS the turbo will be pushing a lot more air through and not enough fuel. Will need it remapped pretty soon.

i wouldnt have thought it would max out the 3bar fpr and therefore would meet required fueling with little problems

cupra_matt ran his on st2 and went back to st1 as he found it better (before binning it all and going atp)

nicky i see your cars up for sale,when your car was standard i test drove it from a garage near me,then a bloke in the next village bought it which made 4 onvi ibizas within 3 miles!!!just wondered if your still local as i may be interested.Where are you located(only one ibiza around here now)

can anyone tell me how to turn up the Air fuel mix, or is it not possible? Just got K03s fitten and need to make sure its not running lean, if it is can you turn it up without any facy tuning equipment

Your MAF if its working right will sort that out.

I guess this still means i shouldnt rag it untill i get a customer remap?
