OK so I have an ebay USB cable which connects to my LCR fine, but when I try it on the '97 Cordoba 16v it pops up a dialog box with all sorts of possible faults, one of which is the k-line being stuck. So the question is where do I go from here debugging this to get vag-com working as I need to clear the ABS faults and disable the airbags?

Just to get in with the answer before the question, no there isn't anything plugged into the stero wiring. Not even the standard HU is plugged in ( well I don't have one )

OK so I need to sort this problem out now so I can clear the ABS light. I have a generic USB cable. With this I can connect to my Leon no problems. Could it be the cable doesn't support the Mk2 Ibiza/Cordoba or is it really a fault in the wiring? Does anyone know what the 4 wires on the cars OBD socket are so I can try and diagnose the problem?

Hi Pete,

It it helps, if you are in the Reading area, I have an official Ross Tech cable you can come and try.
