K and n induction worries

Hey all just spent this afternoon fitting a k and n induction kit to my leon tdi 150. The last part of the instructions said remove the cover in front of slam panel which completely foxed me so skipped that part, will it make any difference? Also am disappointed by the 'whooosh' it's suppose to make the car seems to go and sound as before. Finally the sterio has stopped working because I had to disconnect the battery before starting and can't find any codes in manual, all help appreciated thank you

Don't know about filter(as DERV not my bag),as far as stereo goes,no code,no stereo i'm afraid,although i believe there are places you can get to decode online.

If you give seat the serial number off your stereo they will be able to get you the code. Im guessing its still the seat stereo youve got

Why did you disconnect the battery to install an induction kit ?

Thank you, yeh it is the original sterio, where abouts on the sterio is the number? I disconnected the battery because it told me to do it on the instructions lol

Serial number should be on the side of the radio
