Just Taken delivery and require advice!

Hi everyone,

Just been with a family member to pick up their new 06 1.4 sport from the dealer.

While they where inside I inspected the car and found a couple of things:

1. A very small hair in the paint lacqur in the nsr quater panel.
2. A retouched stone chip on the front bumper near No plate.
3. The passenger seat back tilt handle came off in my hand!

What should we do regarding the above and has any experinced the same?

The handover inspection form was not completed - will this matter?

Other than this the car is excellent!!! (even has a boot light?)

In a word, complain.
Say you arent happy.
It has warrenty regardless if it was an inherent fault at delivery. Either way they are bound to sort it.

Yep, note everything down, show them and tell them you want it sorted FOC, and make sure they book you in to get the work done. Then i would ask for some compension (freebies) for the time that you will be without the car whilst they sort it.

there were a few snags when i got both my new Seats.. one previous, one now. i noted them.. told the dealer. he duly sorted what he could there and then... ciggy lighter missing etc. *i dont smoke but its not the point*. and he picked the car up and gave me a courtesy car to enable other snags to be sorted as soon as....
so have a word with the Dealer!!

Hello mate im afraid not much you can do about the hair in the paint i work at toyotas paint shop and we get them too.All manufactures have "standards" when it comes to things like that for example at toyota our standard for a hair seed is 1.5mm (depending on where it is) same for the paint chip. As long as these paint defects are within the "standard" not much you can do.
As for the tilt handle take it back!!!
