Theres an oily susbtance in it...

only a small amount..

not sure if its oil or what?

Is that supossed to be there?

also how do I clean them>

bets to try clean it out yeah?

Rather than cleaning the whole thing Im tempted to get a heat resistant paint and spray it, that would be ok wouldnt it?

You could always put a low power jet wash through it mate if your worried about it.

It would need cleaning to spray it anyway mate. Im spraying mine once i get a dry day and im just using normal spray as it does need high temp cos it dont get hot enough to need it

High temp spray is only £8ish

So If I get a hose and a tooth brush it will clean it.. no chance of damaging?

Leave it, chances are you'll get more crap in it from brush hairs, etc... all turbo car's especially standard ones without a catch tank will get a misk of oil throughout the charge system.

I want to clean It so I can spray it though :(

I have engine degreaser and an old tooth brush ready, and then rinse it with a hoses?

done it and it looks looaaads better, went through 2 cans of engine degreaser though haha
