LEON 20VT FR
Can't wait - ordered the following from eiptuning.com

will wait and see how long it takes for the parts to arrive from the US

i ordered these:

* EIP\Greddy RS BOV Kit (specially made for VAG 1.8T - solves MAF problem)
* EIP\K&N Intake kit (relocates filter to the front of the left wheel)
* A-Pillar Gauge Pod
* VDO Black/Red Boost Gauge with sender
* Turbosmart manual boost controller
* H&R 10mm Wheel Spacers (for the rear wheels)

Total cost is $820 ...

Will install my BBS rims today or tomorrow ... pics as soon as i'm done!

Any install tips??

The BOV is a standard Greddy RS, but EIP made a kit that recirculates the air back in after the MAF so no air is lost, therefore no MAF errors are caused. It's made for the Golf 4 1.8T so it will be fine with my Leon FR.

about the turbo boost sender the site says:

"VDO Vision Boost Gauge - 30 In.Hg - 25 PSI, 6 ft nylon tubing kit, NoBuzz T-connector, Blue or Red LED, electrical wiring and connectors"

so i assume i have to cut a hose somewhere and install the t-connector. But the guy on the phone said the connection between the gauge and the sender is electric, so im not sure. when I recieve the instructions i will let you know

Ow i see its and electronic gauge rather than a mechanical. In other words you run a small pipe to a box of tricks that converts the mechanical into electrical signals and sends it to teh gauge to be interpreted. I was after something like thi for mine to reduce the take off on the FPR.

Sorry to sound dumb but how is it a BOV if it recircs it? or is it a 50/50 one thing?

is this supposed to give off the atmoshpheric sound whilst keeping the engine sensors happy?

You won't get any sort of blow-off noise from a re-circulating GReddy, will be just as quiet as any DV - I had the EIP Type-S kit years ago and it was no louder than a Forge or Bailey DV. It doesn't solve any MAF issues either, it works exactly the same as any DV, has nothing to do with running a BOV.
