Hi im really new to the seat world, Ive just got myself a Mk3 Ibiza 1.4.

Ive been looking through some topics and understanding a little, however it would be helpfull if someone could just recap for me??

Basiclly i would like to keep the standard H.U, and upgrade the door speaker's with components, put in some rear speakers and Amplify them all with No sub. I already have my sound system from my old car and the amp is standard phono connections?? and also which cd changer will i need?? and is it possible to wire up an ipod shuffle??

Any help will be appriciated, Thank you!

hi mate
rite there is another way to go rather than a cd changer, search for xcarlink on here and that wil lshow you some other options that will alllow you to wire in your ipod shuffle.
with your amp being phono connection if you go to your local motorworld i have been told that you can get an adaptor for the back of the standed headunit.

oh and for install help read adam1.4 ibiza thread on installing

There is also a GROM audio ipod adaptor (make sure you get the V2 (version 2) as it charges the latest ipods also).

Both are good, Xcarlink didn't answer my email, Grom audio did, so I bought the Grom!

Seany K, I was thinking of getting one of the Grom adapters for my Leon and was wondering how good they actually are, and if they're worth the money

You will want to use some high level to low level convertors for the signal into the amp.

TBH, I ran 2 speakers (well component set) for about 2months amped and it was fine. Could get really loud if I wanted it to. I have just added a sub as I like lots of bass :D

Amp wise mate just get a decent 2 channel amp with some decent component speakers and spend a little on sound deadening and will be perfect... no need for rear speakers.
